It is about compassionate listening – creating stories – challenge and change”

| Our vision is to help build the resilience of people, especially those in deprived communities, so they have better chances of securing and maintaining useful work and leading a healthy life |
|
In our first project in Foxbar in Paisley, a housing estate with a population of around 4000 people, we supported 280 people into employment and a further 60 into training. This increased the number of working age people in employment by around 6%. Since then we have delivered 12 employment outcome projects in similar areas.
We have added to these 3 projects where the outcomes are health related, for example taking up mental health support, reducing smoking and weight management.
We have successfully adapted the work to engage with and achieve positive results for young people.
Along the way we have learned what works and refined our methodology and this is described in detail in the "What We Do" pages of this website. You will also find some more detailed Reports and case studies throughout the site.
At our new Glasgow Govanhill base we aim to bring all this together in one community based holistic project
